FIELD: heat storages for installations irregularly supplied with, or irregularly consuming heat energy. SUBSTANCE: heat storage that may be used both in cooling systems and lubricating systems of internal-combustion engines during their pre-start period in cold seasons has heat- insulated housing with inlet and outlet pipes, capsule in the form of sealed space formed by internal wall and additional coaxial wall filled with heat-accumulating compound that varies its aggregate state in operating temperature range. Inlet and outlet pipes are spaced from bottom surface of capsule through different distances; hydraulic barriers such as perforated disks are installed perpendicular to longitudinal axis of housing and differently spaced apart; barriers are disposed above (below) end portion of inlet (outlet) pipe; internal wall surface of housing is entirely used to form capsule. EFFECT: enhanced thermal characteristics and enlarged functional capabilities of heat storage. 1 cl, 2 dwg
