FIELD: transport engineering; preparation of vehicles for starting at low ambient temperatures. SUBSTANCE: heat accumulator has cylindrical housing heat insulated by evacuation and provided with inlet and outer holes to which inlet and outlet pipes with external shutoff arrangements are connected and capsules arranged in housing and filled with heat accumulating compound changing its aggregating state within operating temperature range. capsule is essentially a hermetically sealed space formed by lower part of inner wall of housing and additional coaxial wall provided with charging device fitted in bottom part. Inlet and outlet holes are arranged on upper surface of housing, and pipes extend in side housing to opposite side forming clearance between their ends and bottom surface of capsule. Inner diameter of outlet pipe is smaller than inner diameter of inlet pipe. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and weight, provision of self-contained operation at discharging and transmission of heat to user. 1 dwg
