FIELD: pre-start heating of transportation vehicles at sub-zero ambient temperatures. SUBSTANCE: heat storage has capsules filled with heat-accumulating compound capable of changing its aggregate state within operating temperature range; they are installed perpendicular to case axis and have flat surface one of which in each capsule is provided with bulges arranged unidirectionally and in desired positions; it also has separating plates and water barriers. Capsules are made in the form of solid disks and assembled into standard modules to form appropriate devices for organizing flow of heat-carrying agent and maintaining optimal distance between capsules.
