FIELD: nondestructive quality control of materials and parts by eddy-current inspections; flaw detection in electricity conducting parts. SUBSTANCE: device has series-connected generator, eddy-current transducer, amplitude- phase selection unit, band filter unit, and display. In addition, device is provided with series-connected analog-to-digital converter, unit for raising signal to power, unit for shaping portions of power density spectrum, unit for displaying spectrum in three-dimensional representation, and computer. Input of analog- to-digital converter is connected to output of amplitude-phase selection unit. EFFECT: improved accuracy of quality control due to newly introduced units. 4 dwg
