FIELD: mining, methods of mining of cal seams. SUBSTANCE: method of mining of flat coal seams by long pillars includes driving of development workings, drilling of holes in coal at seam roof towards subsequent extraction of pillar; support of roof in breakage face zone by supporting beams installed in holes with support of caving end by hydraulic support; extraction of haulage slot in coal mass at seam floor with location of haulage means in said slot; coal mining by frontal shearer above haulage slot; loading of broken coal by gravity onto haulage means and transportation of broken coal along breakage face by scraper conveyor. EFFECT: higher efficiency of mining due to use of natural factors in support of breakage face and loading of broken coal. 4 dwg
