FIELD: measurement of vibrations and mechanical characteristics or materials and articles related to them by X-ray method. SUBSTANCE: narrow collimated beam of X-ray radiation is brought out along boundary or internal surface of separation of media in examined object having different factors of absorption of X-ray radiation and variable component of signal of detector is isolated at least on one chosen frequency. While examining objects with unknown frequency spectrum of vibrations one conducts analysis of specified spectrum and one or several frequencies of this spectrum are chosen to isolate variable component. In addition one may measure constant component of signal of detector and intensity of primary beam for the purpose of norming. Bringing out of beam can be accomplished by means of relative linear and angular movement of beam and examined object with determination of their relative position at which variable component has maximum value.
