FIELD: study of materials. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with method of radiation examination of internal structure of objects examined object is illuminated by collimated beam of X-ray radiation under mode of scanning of examined object. Beam is collimated by shaped collimation holes 2-5 of rotating collimator 1. Shape of cross-section of collimation hole presents figure having two, three and more equally distant symmetry axes. Dimensions of beam along each symmetry axis differ from its dimensions in directions perpendicular to given axis. During processing of signals of detector 13 component is isolated by means of filter 15 on frequency multiple of rotational speed of collimator in agreement with number of symmetry axes of cross-section.
