SUBSTANCE: method involves placing fruits and/or vegetables in thermostatically controlled premise; periodically spraying fruits and/or vegetables with saturated aqueous solution of propionic acid. EFFECT: reduced liquid consumption by intensified cooling process and increased storage life by reduced microbiological seeding during storage.
