FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing peloid preparations. Raw source is low-mineralized nonconditioned and used silt sulfide dirt. Raw is treated three-fold with 2 M hydrochloric acid solution at ratio 1: 5, 1: 3 and 1:2, respectively, followed by washing out treated dirt with water to negative reaction for calcium and ferric (III) ions. Then material is treated two-fold with 0.5 M sodium hydroxide solution at ratio 1:3 and 1: 2 for 20 and 22 h. Alkaline extracts are settled for 48 h, decanted, filtered through friable paper filter, filtrate is acidified with 50% sulfuric acid to pH 1.0 and kept at 40-45 C. Precipitate is removed, washed out with water, extracted with ethanol up to complete extraction of himatomelanoic acids and filtered off. Solvent is removed under vacuum at 45-48 C up to 1/20 of initial volume, dissolved in 20-fold volume of 0.02 M sodium hydroxide solution, reprecipitated with sulfuric acid to pH 1.0, washed out with water to negative reaction for sulfate ions and dissolved in minimal volume of 0.01 M sodium hydroxide solution. Then material is passed through cationite KU-2 in H+--form up to constant pH value of solution and dried in thin layer at 35-45 C at forced ventilation.
