In the process of manufacture of the blank along with formation of spherical surface formed in it are through opening 2, slot 4 for cock drive shaft or spindle, as well as end surfaces 3 determining the width of the plug ball shoulder. Blank 1 is based on mandrel 8 over inner surface of opening 2 and outer surface of mandrel 8. At finishing of spherical surface blank 1 is set on one of the walls of slot 4 so that axis of tool 10 would be located in plane equally distant from the walls of slot 4. Tool 10 is an annular diamond wheel having a diamond ring with concentration of diamond grains drawing in radial direction from periphery to the center. EFFECT: enhanced precision and reduced labour content of manufacture, improved performance of spherical plugs of cocks with a ball lock. 2 dwg
