FIELD: artificial diamonds. SUBSTANCE: diamond- graphite mixture is dried at 105-150 C, supplemented with vanadium oxytrichloride at stirring, kept in closed space and then in air. Thereafter, mixture is heat treated at 620-650 C to attain diamond content 83 to 96%. EFFECT: simplified process and eliminated harmful effluents. 2 cl
