FIELD: transplantology. SUBSTANCE: biological materials (splenocytes and ureter tissue) are sampled from donor and recipient. Samples are subjected to DNA- polymerase chain reaction to reveal presence of megaloviral DNA. When recipient samples give DNA-negative reaction and the two samples of donor contain viral DNA, highly probable development of cytomegaloviral infection in recipient is predicted. When recipient is DNA negative and lack of viral DNA in the two samples of donor is observed, minimal probability of infection development in donor is predicted. When viral DNA is present in only one donor's sample and recipient is DNA negative or positive, development of cytomegaloviral infection in recipient or its absence are equiprobable. EFFECT: reduced cytomegaloviral infection morbidity rate and reduced postoperative treatment cost. 4 ex
