SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes water cooled rolls with beads at least near one end for crystallizing two envelopes of alloy. Rolls are mounted with possibility of rotation in direction of alloy feed and they are arranged with mutual gap. Surfaces for crystallizing two envelopes are formed by surfaces of rolls with beads and lateral limiting plates. Gap value δ between rolls with beads is determined according to given expression δ = K•D^0,4...0,7,mm,, where K - proportionality factor, mm^0,6...0,3; - roll diameter, mm.
