FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: gear for multistrand continuous casting of billets has rotary moulds installed with clearances and side walls. Roll moulds have at least two profiles in their surfaces to form interlinked billets. Semi-profiles are made additionally in surfaces of roll moulds near their end faces, their side walls are manufactured in the form of plates moved over width of roll moulds and their working surfaces are made to hold metal in profiles of roll moulds. In case of obliquely symmetric arrangement of profiles in roll moulds one of working surfaces of plates is cylindrical and in case of their symmetric arrangement working surfaces are made conical. EFFECT: expanded range of billets, capability to change number of billets cast simultaneously and weight of poured metal. 3 cl, 6 dwg
