FIELD: restoration of rings of banded rollers, particularly of machines for continuous billet casting, and other banded parts of metallurgical equipment. SUBSTANCE: band rings are surfaced after their heating at rate no more than 80 C/h up to temperature no higher than 150 C at using for surfacing electric current no more than 350 A. At process heating of band rings up to 300 C is admissible. After complete surfacing of all rings, roller is subjected to heat treatment. It is heated at rate no more than 80 C/h until 470-500 C, seasoned for 7-8 hours and cooled at rate no more than 80 C/h until 120 C and then it is cooled in open air. EFFECT: high quality surfacing of band rings of rollers, elimination of ring slippage along roller barrel at operation. 3 cl
