FIELD: restoring by welding rollers of machines for billet continuous casting, rollers of roller tables of hot rolling mills and other parts of metallurgical equipment. SUBSTANCE: after heating roller barrel until 150 wear resistant layer is surfaced. Heating up modes provide ratio of welding current intensity A relative to surfacing rate (m/h) no more than 17,5; ratio of welding current intensity A to heating temperature (C) no more than 3. When roller is wholly surfaced it is subjected to heat treatment. Roller is heated at rate no more than 80 C/h until 470-500 C, seasoned for 7-8 hours and cooled at rate no more than 80 C/h until 120 C, then it is cooled at open air. EFFECT: high-quality surfacing of roller surface, elimination of crumbling out surfaced layer at operation process. 3 cl
