FIELD: processes for restoring banded roller of coiling apparatuses.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminary heating band of roller till temperature 200 - 250°C at rate 40 - 50°C/h; performing multi-layer surfacing by means of steel electrode at rate 20 - 30m/h at density of electric current 35 - 45 A/sq. mm; heat treating surfaced band of roller at temperature 400 - 450°C at rate no more than 40 - 50°C/h; soaking it for 2 - 4 h and cooling at rate no more than 40 - 50°C/h till temperature of environment. Steel electrode is preferably used as material for surfacing first and further odd layers. Steel electrode contains, mass. %: carbon, 0.20 - 0.40; manganese, 0.30 - 0.50; silicon, 030 -050; chrome, 0.50 -1.50; iron, the balance. In order to surface second and further even layers it is preferably used steel electrode of next content, mass. % : carbon, 0.30 - 0.60; manganese, 030 - 1.0; silicon, 030 - 0.50; chrome, 2.0 -3.0; tungsten, 8.0 - 10.0; vanadium, 020 - 0.60; iron, the balance.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of banded roller.
