FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique of dehydration of synthetic carnallite through multistep drying of product in fluidized-bed apparatus at temperatures within 110 to 250 C range to yield product with moisture content up to 5% and MgO content below 3%. Invention is distinguished by that dehydration is carried out in two separate fluidized-bed apparatuses, in the first one product being dehydrated at 140-160 C and gas flow speed within the bed up to 3 m/s until MgCl2 content not higher than 42%, whereas, in the second apparatus, temperature being maintained at 200-240 C level and gas flow speed being up to 2.5 m/s. EFFECT: minimized magnesium oxide content in product. 2 tbl
