FIELD: medicine; neonatology. SUBSTANCE: surface of child's head is divided conventionally into 52 sections corresponding to projection of right- and left-hand frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital lobes of brain. Method includes sequential recording of thermal radiation temperature of 52 points on skull surface, as well as of left- and right-hand external auditory meatuses. Summary temperature values of each of eight lobes, of left- and right-hand hemispheres and of entire head surface are determines. Temperature gradient between adjacent sections of head is also determined. In case summary value of temperature of left-and (or) right-hand hemispheres is reduced below 35.8 C, temperature of external auditory meatus is reduced below 36.4 C, value of temperature gradient is from 1.0 to 2.5 C, and character of thermal field distribution is of the "temperature mosaic" type, ischemic affection of brain or its section is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced truth of diagnostics, reduced terms of examination. 3 ex
