ROAD PAVEMENT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: road-building technology. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in construction of highways, runways in airfields, sporting grounds, etc. Road pavement has reinforced layer, screen made of glass fibre with thread woven fabric which is laid equidistantly as to surface of pavement. Direction of fabric thread weaving coincides with direction of moving vehicles. Dimensions of screen openings are selected proceeding from following relation 1 ≤ a/b ≤ 2, where a - dimension of screen opening side coinciding with direction of traffic, b - dimension of screen opening side which is perpendicular to direction of traffic. In this case dimension of screen opening a ≤ c,, where c - maximal length of contact pattern between surface of road pavement and tyre of vehicle wheel in direction which is perpendicular to wheel axle. Aforesaid road pavement is comparatively inexpensive to build, is very effective in exploitation and can be widely accepted. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
