METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CREATION OF ICE-BOUND CROSSINGS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: building of motor roads. SUBSTANCE: this relates to freezing of ice cover across rivers and swamps in difficult hydrogeological conditions. According to method, located in direction of crossing are pipeline strings with subsequent delivery of cold air through them. Pipeline strings are assembled of hoses laid in parallel to strings. They are connected in rings at one side, and are plugged at other side. Some pipeline strings are filled with water or ground, and some pipeline strings are filled with air. Then pipeline strings are towed afloat. After that, delivered into plugged strings is cold air with regulation of air flow rate and changing direction of air flow. Device incorporates pairs of parallel hoses which are interconnected by yokes. Pairs of hoses which are ring-connected at one side are coupled at other sides with receivers-distributors, four-way valve, compressor, and turbine-type refrigerating unit. Application of aforesaid method and device improves intensity and safety in building of ice-bound crossings. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 3 dwg
