FIELD: alternative power supplies including those using wind energy. SUBSTANCE: plant has platforms joined together to form train so that first and last platforms are interconnected and placed on circular rail track; each platform mounts sails which make one revolution about their axes while platform rides rail track twice; provision is made for correcting sail position according to varying direction of wind. EFFECT: improved power capacity of plant comparable with that of thermal and hydroelectric stations attained by simple means. 1 dwg
