FIELD: renewable energy; wind power plants.
SUBSTANCE: platforms in a sail wind power plant move cyclically in a given movement interval, which is set by two limiting bogies so that in the middle of the movement interval the platforms move perpendicular to the wind direction. A spring device for changing the speed of the platforms is installed on the limiting trolleys. The position of the limit trucks is controlled by a system that includes a speed direction sensor and a GPS system.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of conversion of wind flow energy by increasing the speed of movement of the platforms and reducing the time for changing the speed of the platforms when changing the direction of movement of the platforms.
