FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has operating and braking contactors, capacitors connected to motor winding, additional capacitors connected in series with diodes, and resistor inserted between neutral points of diodes; diodes and resistor are shorted out by braking contactor contacts. Additional capacitors are connected in phase-by- phase manner through braking contactor contacts to motor terminals. Novelty in device is introduction of additional thirteen diodes, three auxiliary capacitors, and three make contacts of braking contactor; connected to positive plates of each additional capacitor are anodes of three diodes whose anodes have their phases separately assembled into three groups and every three diodes are interconnected, respectively; diode cathode is connected in series with resistor; common points of cathodes of diode groups are connected to positive plates of auxiliary capacitors whose other plates are combined and connected to common point of cathodes of main diodes; additional make contacts are connected through one lead to break contacts of operating contactor and through other lead, to negative plates of additional capacitors.
