FIELD: braking squirrel-cage induction motors. SUBSTANCE: device has running and braking contactors, capacitors connected to motor winding, auxiliary capacitors connected in series with diodes, and resistor inserted between neutral point and diode junction; diodes and resistor are shorted out by braking contactor contacts. Auxiliary capacitors are connected in phase-by-phase manner through braking contactor contacts to motor terminals. Novelty in device is introduction of six additional resistors, nine diodes, six auxiliary capacitors, and three break contacts of braking contactor; diodes are differentially interconnected in pairs and assembled in two groups each incorporating three pairs which are connected through resistors to stator winding leads; paired diodes of first diode group are interconnected through cathodes and those of second group, through anodes. Respective auxiliary capacitors are connected to common junction points of diode cathodes and anode in diode groups; negative plates of capacitors are connected to stator winding leads through braking contactor contacts. EFFECT: improved braking reliability, intensity, and efficiency. 1 dwg
