FIELD: electrical engineering; general industrial electric drives.

SUBSTANCE: first leads of three-phase induction motor having three stator phase windings are connected within proposed control device to grounded-neutral supply mains through making contacts of operating contactor; second leads of phase windings are interconnected in star. Device has operating contactor with three making and three breaking contacts, rectifier bridge incorporating four diodes, main diode being connected between stator-winding star and neutral bus. Newly introduced in device are three capacitors, three resistors, diode, two auxiliary capacitors, dynamic braking contactor with two making contacts, and control element, all connected in compliance with formula given in invention specification.

EFFECT: enhanced braking reliability and efficiency, provision for phase-failure protection of motor.
