DEVICE FOR CAPACITOR-DYNAMIC BRAKING OF INDUCTION MOTOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2119713 C1

FIELD: braking of squirrel- cage induction motors. SUBSTANCE: device provides for braking induction motor without external DC power supply and has working contactor and capacitors connected to motor winding, rectifier bridges with resistors inserted in each arm of bridge in series with diodes; connected to outputs of bridges are auxiliary capacitors; device also has dynamic braking contactor. Novelty in device is introduction of ten additional diodes and four capacitors; inputs of rectifier bridges are interconnected in delta; additional capacitors are connected to output leads of adjacent rectifier bridges; make contacts of dynamic braking contactor are connected to stator winding and to output leads of rectifier bridges through respectively connected valves and resistors inserted in arms of each rectifier bridge. EFFECT: improved intensity and efficiency of braking. 1 dwg
