FIELD: electrical engineering; braking squirrel- cage induction motors. SUBSTANCE: newly introduced in device are two additional secondary transformer windings, two diodes, six resistors, and three auxiliary capacitors. Secondary windings are series-connected in each transformer. Additional secondary windings are connected by means of one lead to center taps of secondary windings. Other leads of additional secondary windings are connected to respective diodes. Main and additional diodes are connected through resistors to plates of respective auxiliary capacitors and through brake contactor making contacts they are connected to stator winding phase leads.
