FIELD: space engineering. SUBSTANCE: reactive thrust is built up using propulsive mass in the form of liquid, steam, and electromagnetic radiation. Liquid propulsive mass is heated in steam generator 1 and conveyed through nozzle 2 to gas- tight cylinder 3 whose walls are made of heat-conducting material nonwettable by propulsive liquid. Cylinder walls abutting against nozzle are made in the form of reflector 6 and opposite wall 7 is made of material transparent to electromagnetic radiation. Guide member symmetrical to 0-0 axis of nozzle is installed downstream of nozzle outlet to provide for uniform deflection of propulsive steam jet sideways at the same time expanding it as it moves radially relative to 0-0 axis. Cylinder interior communicates with steam generator by means of pump 4 installed against nozzle and by means of pipeline 5. Heat energy released by propulsive mass in the form of electromagnetic waves is radiated from cylinder interior by means of reflector 6 through transparent wall 7. Propulsive mass jet leaving the nozzle and electromagnetic wave radiation are unidirectional. EFFECT: improved reliability of producing propulsive thrust. 6 cl, 2 dwg
