FIELD: space engineering. SUBSTANCE: reactive thrust is built up by using working medium in the form of liquid, steam, and optical beam. Liquid working medium is heated in steam generator 1 and passed through nozzle 2 to gas-tight cylinder 3 whose walls are made of heat-conducting material nonwettable with working liquid. Cylinder wall abutting against nozzle is made in the form of reflector 6 and opposite cylinder wall 7 is made of material transparent to optical beams. Cylinder interior communicates with steam generator by means of pump 4 mounted against nozzle and pipeline 5. Expansion of steam working medium within nozzle and cylinder interior condenses it, liquid condensate settles on cylinder walls and is additionally cooled down due to heat transfer through walls to surrounding atmosphere; it flows by inertia towards pump which conveys liquid condensate over pipeline to steam generator. In the process, working medium in liquid and gaseous states is allowed to continuously circulate in jet engine system without escaping to surrounding atmosphere. Heat energy of working medium is radiated by means of reflector 6 from cylinder interior through transparent wall 7 to atmosphere. Working medium flow from nozzle and optical beams from cylinder interior are conveyed unidirectionally. EFFECT: facilitated production of reactive thrust. 5 cl, 2 dwg
