FIELD: combustion technologies in various industries. SUBSTANCE: combustion of flame is intensified through treatment of flame by strong longitudinal electric field (at 2 kV/cm and higher) and strong revolving transversal electric field, for example, by means of three-phase system of electrodes and three-phase high-voltage source. Method includes also measurement of flame height and other parameters of flame, change of electrode-to-electrode distance of application of longitudinal field to flame at simultaneous adjustment of field intensity. Method provides also for rotating the flame by transversal electric field, which enhanced degree of mixing and crushing of fuel-and-air mixture additionally intensifying its combustion. Proposed electrostatic spraying of fuel to combustion zone by longitudinal electric field to molecular level additionally intensifies combustion process and reduces consumption of fuel. method provides also control of flame geometry, temperature and heat conductivity, as well as change of geometry and electrical parameters of above-mentioned electric fields, for example, focusing of flame which is necessary in heat treatment of metals and alloys.
