SUBSTANCE: intensification of operation of internal combustion engine is provided by introduction of strong electric field into combustion chamber over entire period of engine operation by means of carried high-voltage self-excited inductive semiconductor voltage converter one output of which is electrically connected with central electrodes insulated from housing, and modified electric spark plugs provided with single elongated electrically insulated central electrodes. Second output of high voltage converter is electrically connected directly to engine housing. Electric field of strength not less than 1 kV/cm is used as fuel-air mixture burning catalyst in engine combustion chambers. At intake stroke electric field provides additional electrostatic atomizing of fuel and ozonization of air. EFFECT: provision of complete combustion of mixture in chambers, simplified design of engine by combining functions of nozzle and spark plug in nozzle electrically insulated from engine housing. 26 cl, 1 dwg
