FIELD: heat and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method and device are used in thermal power plants (boiler rooms, blast furnaces), as well as in jet and turbojet engines also using fuel burners for conversion of thermal power of fuel burning to reactive kinetic energy of flame jet and exhaust gases. Fuel burner is provided with control and operating moving circular electrodes. Fuel injector is insulated from body electrically, and high voltage is supplied to the above- indicated electrodes and fuel injector. Spaces between electrodes, fuel injector and flame front are selected from condition of maximum electronic emission from needle pins (emission needles) of electrodes at preset intensity of electric field in operation volume of fuel burner depending on type of fuel and intensity of its supply to fuel injector. Adjustment is performed according to minimum current consumption of high-voltage converter (electric field source) at maximum temperature and luminosity of flame, that is glow discharge mode is maintained. In other words, maximum electronic emission from fuel injector to operating electrode takes place from high-voltage controllable source of electric field through fuel mixture and flame. EFFECT: intensified process of fuel burning. 12 cl, 1 dwg
