FIELD: mechanical engineering; heat engines; methods of conversion of chemical and heat energy into mechanical energy and their intensification irrespective of type of heat engine and control methods. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of intensification of heat engine operation consists of the following steps: preparation of fuel mixture, its delivery into combustion chamber of heat engine and ignition and combustion of fuel mixture with oxidizer in combustion chamber, heating of working medium (gas, steam, etc.) by heat energy liberated in process of fuel burning, conversion of heat energy into working medium pressure inside working chamber of heat engine with subsequent conversion of working medium gauge pressure into mechanical energy of heat engine by intensifying fuel combustion process in combustion chamber using first electric field of strength not less than 1 kV/cm and simultaneously intensifying transmission of heat energy of combusted fuel to working medium of heat engine and redistribution of parameters of heat energy in engine working chamber (gas pressure, their temperature, heat conduction), i.e creation of directed heat pressure of working medium (gas) onto working member of heat engine by directed spatial orientation of movement of heated working medium particles by second electric field of strength sufficient to provide ordered thermal motion of working medium particles in direction of heat engine working member. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved ecological characteristics of heat engines. 8 cl, 1 dwg
