SUBSTANCE: invention basically relates to treatment of drinking water or waste water on charging filters with grainy charge of sorption-filtration material based on haelleflinta-type sand. In order to provide quality water and increase filtration cycle and lifetime of sorption- filtration material with lower filtration resistance and increased purification capacity of charge, sand material contains haelleflinta in Na form and sodium modulus 1.15-1.10, which is composed of, wt %: SiO2 62.00-75.00, Al2O3 11.50-22.50, Fe2O3 1.40-2.00, Na2O 3.00-8.80, K2O 0.30-2.60, CaO 1.89-3.90, MgO 0.52-0.92, MnO 0.01-0.09, TiO2 0.06-0.14, P2O5 0.01-0.07.
