FIELD: regeneration of hydrochloric acid. SUBSTANCE: method includes the following stages: (a) passage of spent aqueous chloride liquor from leaching and gases containing hydrogen chloride through preconcentrator to produce concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching by partial evaporation of water and absorption of hydrogen chloride; (b) withdrawal of one part of concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching with formation of aqueous chloride liquor for leaching; (c) roasting the remaining part of concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching with obtaining of metal oxide and gases containing hydrogen chloride and water steam; (d) supply of gas containing hydrogen chloride to stage (a); (e) separation of hydrogen chloride coming from preconcentrator by its absorbing with water to produce regenerated hydrochloric acid. The device for method embodiment has appliance for preconcentrator, appliance for separation of concentrated aqueous liquor from leaching from appliance for preconcentration and separation of concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching into the first and second parts; appliance for roasting the second part of concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching for production of metal oxide and gases containing hydrogen chloride; appliance for absorption of hydrogen chloride with water; the first pipeline for supply of gas formed in roasting appliance to appliance for preconcentration; the second pipeline for supply of gases coming from preconcentration appliance to absorption appliance; and the third pipeline for withdrawal of the first part of concentrated aqueous chloride liquor from leaching from separation appliance.
