FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: body, usually human body, is scanned with beam of X-rays that is collimated by means of collimator fabricated in the form of pile of parallel plates. Then X-rays transmitted through body is converted to optical image which is amplified and converted to electron image. Later it is processed to generate video image. EFFECT: specified performance of collimator makes it possible to decrease irradiation of human body. 22 cl, 5 dwg
