FIELD: computer-aided tomography based on imaging by limited-angle scattered radiation. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has X-ray source with annular anode and system for scanning electron beam along anode to produce fan-shaped revolving X-ray beam. First-beam collimator and patient-crossing radiation beam trap are designed to record radiation scattered by patient within angles ranging up to 1 deg. Collimator is, essentially, set of two sections of cylindrical tube mounted one on top of other in a spaced relation and provided with stepping projections on lower base of top section and on upper base of bottom section. Trap is also made in the form of section of cylindrical tube with stepping projection on upper base. X-ray source anode, collimator, primary-beam trap, and system for recording radiation passed through patient are coaxial. Radiation scattered by patient at limited angles can be recorded by apparatus having no revolving parts. EFFECT: improved informative capacity and simplified design of tomograph. 2 cl, 3 dwg
