FIELD: testing technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of levels of ultrasound caused by leakage. Leakage location is found from column diagram of ultrasound levels measured in definite section. Position and length of column corresponding to ultrasound level measured at hard-to-get-at place are corrected with due regard for preliminarily determined position error and/or correction value of improperly measured ultrasound level because of amplification factor error.
