FIELD: production of nonwoven fibrous-porous polymer materials used as sorbents. SUBSTANCE: sorbent contains in its structure up to 60% of fibers twisted in bundles and balls due to which additional capillary absorption and keeping of various liquid (for instance, oils, petroleum products) take place. In this case, bundles may be located both along and across the material. The latter is produced with the help of air jet twisted in spiral. The material is capable of absorbing the liquid in the amount exceeding material weight by 40-50 times. EFFECT: higher absorption. 1 tbl
