PICKUP FAILURE DETECTION AND OBJECT CONDITION CHECKING METHOD Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2126903 C1

FIELD: heat power engineering; control system of gas-turbine engines and turbines of power plants operating within wide range of loads. SUBSTANCE: pickups are connected to condition monitors built on basis of engine (object) model. All pickups are connected to one monitor, and all but one pickups are connected to each of the rest of monitors. Weighted sum of squares of misclosures of all condition monitors is determined, and values of weighted sum of squares of misclosures of first condition monitor are compared with values of weighted sums of squares of misclosures of each of the rest of condition monitors. Maximum value of obtained difference signals is compared with threshold value and failure signal of pickup, whose readings have not been used in monitor for which this value exceeds threshold value, is formed. Area possible location of misclosures caused by errors in setting of object model parameters is determined for each monitor and monitors whose misclosures come out of the limits of preset area are found. Area of possible location of misclosures caused by errors in setting of parameters of object model is found from the following expressions: where Σi is matrix of ellipsoid of tolerable location of vector of misclosures of i-th monitor; Qi is matrix of ellipsoid of tolerable location of vector of condition of i-th monitor; Fi = Ai-KiCi is matrix of monitor; gi, gi, hi are scalar coefficients; Gi, Wi are matrices of limited deviations of model parameters; T is transposition symbol. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of pickup failure detection. 2 cl, 1 dwg
