FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: to increase reliability of engine starting by preventing switching on of starter when energy accumulator is discharged and disconnecting of storage battery when system is out of operation and to improve operating conditions of storage battery by limiting current supply, proposed system is furnished with contactor with winding and making contacts, auxiliary relay with winding, two pairs of making contacts and one pair of breaking contacts, limiting resistor and accumulator charging cut-in button. Contactor winding is connected to energy accumulator through starter ON button and auxiliary relay breaking contacts. Minus terminals of storage battery and energy accumulator are connected through first pair of making contacts of auxiliary relay, and plus terminals of storage battery ands energy accumulator are connected through second pair of auxiliary relay making contact and limiting resistor. Use of proposed system in automobiles with two levels of voltage makes it possible to dispense with one of two storage batteries and its special charging device. .
