FIELD: metal working, possibly engraving and cutting sheet metallic parts in different industry branches. SUBSTANCE: gas-laser cutting apparatus includes housing 1, rotary mirror 2, drive unit 4, movable body-tail spindle 5 carrying focusing lens 9. Changeable gas chamber with protective glass 11, gas supply union 13, movable output nozzle 14 are mounted coaxially. Removable power-driven support 15 having spherical lower surface and mounted freely relative to outer surface of nozzle is rigidly secured to body-tail spindle 5. Support 15 is mounted with predetermined gap between end of nozzle and lower edge of support surface. Drive unit 4 may engage with bracket 7 of tail spindle 5 and it is designed for raising and descending tail spindle 5 at beginning and at terminating working procedure and also for preventing emergency condition. Support smoothly slides on surface following all rough portions of sheet directly near nozzle for protecting the last and for keeping constant position of irradiation focal point relative to treated surface. Output nozzle may be shifted along optical axis of lens. Gas chamber and power-driven support are autonomous units, they may be rapidly and simply removed and(or) changed and support may be remounted with other gap.
