FIELD: mechanical engineering; belt conveyors, roller beds and transportation devices. SUBSTANCE: roller of belt conveyor has tube, axle, housing with metal reinforcement members, antifriction bearings secured outer races in housings installed in tube, and mated through inner races with axle, and bearing seals. Housings are made in form of aluminium alloy castings. Reinforcement members are made in form of steel bearing cups perforated in radial direction by taper holes arranged according to program in which cast taper tenons of housing are fitted. Tenons form non-split tenon joints of housing with bearing cups. EFFECT: increased service life and strength of rollers, reduced mass of rollers. 2 cl, 2 dwg
