BELT-CONVEYOR ROLLER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyor transportation. SUBSTANCE: belt conveyor roller has cylindrical shell installed by end parts on axle by means of supports in hubs of which bearings and seals are installed closed from outside by covers secured on supports. Hubs of supports are provided with preset number of projections arranged over circumference of outer surfaces of their end parts at equal angular pitch. Covers are provided with cylindrical locating parts with end flanges and longitudinal cutouts whose width, number and angular pitch correspond to width, number and angular pitch of support hub projections. Covers are fitted with their locating parts on end parts of support hubs to form ring clearances between rear surfaces of projections of support hubs passed through cutouts of locating parts of covers and rear surfaces of flanges of cover locating parts. Locking forming nonthreaded quick-release fasteners of covers on supports are installed in ring clearances. EFFECT: improved operation reliability of belt conveyor roller, reduced metal usage, simplified assembling and enhanced repairability. 5 dwg
