FIELD: methods of production of mineral fibers from jet of molten material by centrifuging on rotors with horizontal axes. SUBSTANCE: optical method are used for determination of position of molten material jet relative to the first rotor and regulation of this position. In this case, use of special chambers is anticipated. In preferable version of the method embodiment, chamber observes the edge of rotor for drawing of fibers. The device for production of mineral fibers has two detecting instruments, preferably, optical installed for scanning along the first guide line parallel to axis of one of rotors and the second guide line square to the first guide line and jet of molten material.
