FIELD: protection of pipe lines against hydraulic impacts. SUBSTANCE: device includes housing and diaphragm-valve unit. Device is fitted directly in pipe line. Liquid inlet passages in housing are located in center of pipe line away from its walls; valve is pressed to seat by force of spring through diaphragm and rod degree of tension of spring is adjusted by raising or lowering the stem whose thread is engageable with sliding nut combined with cover of housing; diaphragm and seat are pressed from below by means of threaded ring.
