METHOD FOR PREPARING INACTIVATED VACCINE AGAINST EGG YIELD REDUCING SYNDROME-76 IN POULTRY Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary virology, biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing antigenic material from the strain "BISS № 113-DEP" (VGNKI collection) of poultry egg yield reducing syndrome-76 reproduced in 9-11-old days duck embryos or in SPF-chicken embryos with biological activity at least 6.0 lg EID₅₀/0.2 cm³ and hemagglutinating activity at least 1:4096. Prepared virus is purified from inert impurities by the known method and then aminoethylethyleneimine is added to virus-containing suspension in the concentration 0.2-0.4% to inactivate virus. Purified and avirulent antigenic material is combined with oily adjuvant in the effective ratio. The ready preparation is subjected for control in accordance with requirement of technical conditions. Vaccine elicits high antigenic and hemagglutinating activity, stability and provides the expressing and prolonged immunity in vaccinated poultry.
