FIELD: medicine, neurooncology; may be used in treatment of malignant tumors of brain and in cases of inefficient radiotherapy and chemotherapy. SUBSTANCE: during operation, tumor biopsy and its partial removal in full volume of surgical treatment are performed. Then fragment of greater omentum on vascular limb is separated and transposed onto remaining part of tumor with adjacent tunic of brain. During postoperative period, course of chemotherapy is carried out with preparations which do not penetrate through hematoencephalic barrier. EFFECT: prevention of tumor growth, reduced toxic effect; elimination of liquid accumulation in bed of removed tumor. 2 cl, 5 dwg
