FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly, preparation of epichlorohydrin for epoxy resins. SUBSTANCE: allyl chloride is prepared by gas-phase thermal chlorination of propylene which is fed into consecutively connected reactors at first reactor inlet temperature of 350-380 C and outlet temperature of 500-520 C for each reactor. Propylene heated to 200-380 C is further fed into second and subsequent reactors at propylene to chlorine volume ratio from 3:1 to 6:1.
